Tufnol Snatch Block for Wire & Fibreoptic Cables

The Barton wire snatch block has been developed specifically as a low maintenance static free block. The Tufnol sheave means that static cannot build up in the block and cause electrical discharge. Tufnol is a bearing-grade material so it gives a low-friction surface for the wire to run on and minimizes the number of moving components, giving it reliability and durability.

The cheeks are made from marine grade 316 stainless steel as is the pin and retaining nuts. This block is ideal for commercial applications in the toughest of environments.

Fibreoptic & Wire Bending

Fibreoptic cables and wire ropes require a minimum bend radius to stop failures. This block is suitable for both fibreoptics and wires up to 10mm in diameter. The large sheave means that the bend radius of the wire is not compromised and provides an additional engineered safety factor to prologue the life of wire if continual movement around the same section of wire is required.
